The rules of what you can and cannot do are generally given by parents at such a young age. As a child gets older, usually more rules and expectations are given. The rules and expectations for a child have pre-set boundaries, this is to help control them and/or pass on their own rules and expectations. If a youngster lives with their parents or parental figures they adapt the behaviors and actions that are done instead by the elderly instead of creating and developing their own alternatives. With parents, teens can be relaxed and comfortable. Generally, if teens are comfortable that means that they will rely and count on them more to for advice deal with their problems. A common situation is when a teen will not make a decision knowing that their parents will make one for them. This is not the doing much for a person in terms of his or her future life. When a young man or woman lives separately from parents, they are required to have responsibility for their lives such as dealing with stress, solving common everyday issues, seeking a living and handling several other issues individually.
