According to (Romanowski 2006) prestigious universities are recruiting and accomadating homeschooled students. Children that are home-educated tend to score higher the testing part of school. “The home-educated to often score 15 to 30 percentile points above public-school students on standardized academic achievement tests. The public school average is the 50th percentile; scores range from 1 to 99 (Ray, B. 2015, January 6). Students that are learning at home are more focused on their studies than a child who goes to an actual building five times a week.” Since they are more focused, they score higher on tests such as the ACT or the SAT. More often than not, home-educated students score miraculously higher than a student who has been in a public school all their life. To add to that, a child who was in a public school could transition to a home-educated program and not only the parent, but the child will see a drastic change when it comes to their test scores. One of the major reasons that draws parents in to teach their children at home is the guarantee of safety for the child. Unfortunately there is a great issue with bullying in public schools. Students are not wanting to go into school because of this issue. First it starts out with little jokes, but it can and usually does turn into something a lot larger and a lot more dangerous. A lot of schools will claim to have a no tolerance for bullies however the bullying issue arises all the time. One way that is guaranteed to prevent children from being bullied is by
