I could not believe how different the environment was from the place I called home. The people were way friendlier and extremely personable. People would come up to me and talk about surfing and the fantastic action to do around that area. The area of Virginia Beach is extremely relaxed and had an abundance of people lounging around, and enjoying themselves. At the beach the sounds of seagulls and the crashing waves crowded the air. In addition to the people lounging, around, I witnessed a vast number of people riding skateboards everywhere, in fact, someone was riding a skateboard around each corner I turned it seemed. Every place I had glanced it seemed that at least every other person was in a swimsuit. On the other hand like here in Newark I would have to have a shirt on to receive service at a restaurant, but some restaurants even encouraged people to only come in their swimsuit. I would give anything to be able to relive, even a fraction of a moment, the time I spent there. The activities we did and being able to spend time with each other is unforgettable and irreplaceable.
