Imagine you are walking silently through a magnificent forest, surrounded by a crisp morning air with the gentle sounds of nature all around. Bow hunting gives you the opportunity to fully and truly experience the wonders that come from untouched landscape. While you are bow hunting there is no advantage for either the predator or the prey; the playing field is equal. When the hunter succeeds they can be assured that they will always come home with the biggest and best trophy, compared to that of gun hunter. Bow hunting is superior to gun hunting in all aspects of the sport. The bow hunter has a significant advantage over other types of hunters due to their earlier start date. It is also about coming to respect the environment you are hunting in as well as the animals you are hunting. It is about experiencing the pure and unadulterated nature. When you bow hunt you are seeing how animals interact with each other and with the nature around them. You are always going to be down in the brush, up close and personal with various animals. Many bow hunters have stories of times when owls or other birds have landed on a tree or a branch right next to where they were sitting, perfectly still. Others have stories of times when deer have actually come to within arm 's reach before suddenly turning and running. When you are hunting with a firearm you are often out of the timber and in a hunting stand far from the unsuspecting animal that walks into your line of fire. If a bow hunter wants to have any success they need to have an extensive knowledge of what they are trying to hunt in order to get within the very short distance that is required to have a chance to hit their target. Very few people see wild animals in person with nothing between them. They are given that opportunity through bow hunting.
