In a direct democracy, the people would be in voting booths all day just waiting and sitting voting on every issue. This would make the people more stressed. The people are not perfect and since we form the government, neither is the government. Direct democracy always ends in people wanting to become more popular and better than others. Riots can occur, the government could completely corrupt, complex accountability will be drawn, and the lack of public interest. On the other hand, there are some good things about direct democracy. Such as, freedom, represents the people, better governance due to transparency, and respect of human rights. An advantage would be that the problem would have more views from the people and it will make the decision more precise and fair to the people.
