The airline industry has grown modernization over the last few years. In the past, there were very few airlines operating across the world. Every airlines in the world need to have right leadership and strong management team to succeed in the air transport industry. To achieve objectives and mission, Top level management need to have the best strategy during setting overall goals and to assess whether the objectives are being met. They also need to acknowledge entire management team and employees about the goals of the airline and make sure constantly greater performance by the workers. If not, the airline may not be competent to accomplish its goals and thus may fail to achieve its mission. In every organization, there’s must be a leader. …show more content…
Risky, can result to wrong decisions, overlooking reality and not always effective are disadvantages of Transformational leadership style. Actually, common ground for Transformational leadership style and charismatic leadership style the ability of both approach to influence followers and effect change in the organization, and there is continued debate in the distinction between the two approaches according academia. 3 dangers of charismatic leadership by (Brian evje, 25 April 2012), stated that leaders can become addicted to charisma, organizations can become addicted to the charismatic leader and charisma grows for its own sake and forgets its purpose. Charisma is a capability, not an answer. No need to overplay the role, use charisma as an attribute and strive for more graceful leadership that requires you to attend higher needs of organization. Not many leader in air transport industry have charismatic leader but in Low Cost Carrier they really need charismatic leader to challenge and survive.
