Although, the small class size have advantages and disadvantages. The small size class students can easily interact with teacher and the students are more engaged with the topic and there will be less discussion in the class. Also teachers are available for the students to solve their problem and ask questions about the subject, and “taking attendance is very easy for the small size class teachers, because the student number will be less and the teacher can easily remember their students (Harrison)”. As well as, the teachers have more focus on students and their activities. Meanwhile, in the small size classes “the teachers have more focus on their students and encourage them to engage with the topic and have focus on their students whom are more struggler (Ehrenberg, R.G, Brewer)”. Although, there will be more quality and good results in terms of exams, quizzes in the small size classes. However, the disadvantages of the small size classes are that students will be away from being member of large students group to get and seek the different opinions and ideas and they will be more introverts, which mean they like to be alone in …show more content…
According to the some analyst shows that in some countries the government schools and universities, have larger size classes because it’s free for the civilians and the government tries to enroll more students in their schools and universities to get knowledge and omit the literacy in their country to have develop and peaceful country. As well as, the large size classes have disadvantages, “in the large size classes the teachers are unavailable to response the students short questions in the class, rather than getting appointment from the teacher to visit his/her in their office hours which is difficult for the students, because teacher is busy with their classes and its stuffs (Harrison)”. The teacher is not able to engage students in the topic during the lecture, also more discussion will take place in the large size classes, such as the teacher wants to give some extra explanations from outside source about the topic, but some of the students will start arguing with teacher and they will cut off the class timing. Moreover the grading system will be difficult in the large size classes because “ checking of hundreds student papers is difficult in one, so the large size class teachers try to have multiple choice questions or less descriptive questions in the exams”
