Technology is said to be a trend of the era now. Nowadays, we can see that everyone regardless of age owns either a small or large piece of technology. Technology is as like oxygen to human beings now. Without technology, doomsday arrives. What is technology? According the Concise Oxford Dictionary, technology refers to the study or use of the mechanical arts and applied. This means that technology has helped making humans’ survival and easier endeavor since its existence. No doubt that technology has brought upon many advantages, but one issue has arises upon the existence of it. It has a bright side of it as it helps teacher in engaging their teaching process easily and it has been seen that some schools allows students to bring gadgets to school that might help them in their learning process. The use of technology has been sugarcoated too much which makes us ignorant towards the flaw it has created. At school, students are at the stage of mind building. They are supposed to think for themselves and solve their problem in their own way. With them relying 100 percent on technology only retards their thinking skills and making them lazy. Technology is supposed to be a tool which only helps and assist these youngsters complete a task or assignment. Their creativity will only be fixed and not be widen. Moreover, the students’ communication skill will also be affected as they only face a screen and not conduct a proper interaction with the society. This will shake their courier life in the future as good communication skilled employees are highly seek in today’s working places. This is where teachers should play their part and educate their students about the correct usage of technology. Teachers should be an important role model towards their students too. The society makes technology as the top list of their daily needs. That is just how dependent the society is nowadays. When we walk into a coffee shop or standing at the bus stop or even strolling at the park, people regardless of age, are so endorsed in their phones and not knowing what is happening around. This affects their communication skills at the large range. This new communication behavior has brought a primary concern on whether or not it has made the society to replace face-to-face interaction fully. This occurrence is inevitable and it leads to a higher chance of people to be lonely as they only have virtual friends that causes the inability to commit into a meaningful relationship. Our young generations in the society are participating in a massive, unintentional social experiment the results of which are not easily predicted.
