Social networking has become the most widely used communication between family, friends and even strangers. People are spending more and more time on social networking sites than they should. Many of my friends use social networking for various reasons. Whether it’s via Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, social media plays a major part in many people’s lives. Due to its low costs and large audiences, it's easy to get carried away with social media. So it’s wise to think carefully and be aware of both the advantages and disadvantages before you start using these.
For instance, you can get so lost in social media so much that you will not be able to function if you’re not connected to your electronic world. In other words it makes yo lazy. You prefer play-by-plays of your life, rather than just living it yourself and this can be a dangerous and sad dependency. Sure, it’s awesome to be able to keep in touch with friends and family who are on the other side of the country or world. However, this can lead to you neglecting those who are close by, such as parents, siblings and even friends. Studies also show that 32 % of the people in a survey

Once you upload something on the internet nothing can be completely removed from your browser. Sharing private information is a very dangerous aspect of social media. Hackers and phishers can access these and leak some sensitive information. Such information is used by these people to bully and blackmail the victims who end up suffering huge losses or either killing themselves. They may even find out about where you live to assault or rape you. Furthermore, teens these days gang up on other teens using networks like Viber or Facebook. Calling them names and saying bad words and things which make them question their reason for living in this world and so they resort to hurting themselves or suicide.
