In informal assessment a student does not know that the assessment is taking place. One example is how student interact with each other (Stiggins,1994). In formal assessment the students understand that teacher evaluate him or her.
Advantages of performance assessment In performance assessment teachers has more information about the learning needs of their students, and this let them to modify their methods of teaching and learning styles, and to understand the strength and the weakness in students. They also allow students to assess their own learning progress and reflect on their own education .Also this assessment allows schools to identify the skills and knowledge they want their student to learn and acquire.
