Technology has been prevalent in this generation. As a matter of fact, gadgets have already become a part of a human’s system. People are always holding their phones, tablets, and laptops like their lives depend on them. They use these pieces of technology for communication, work or relaxation. Even though they provide lots of benefits, there are still drawbacks from using them. People who use gadgets during inappropriate times, like driving, often get involved in accidents. Also, some become so reliant on these devices and spend the whole day with them. This can result to poor eyesight and less time for socializing. With this, no one is safe in this highly urbanized world from the effects of technology. Even children are affected by the changes …show more content…
Some parents go to work while their child is still sleeping and go home when they are already asleep. Some even have overtime during the weekend. Due to this, they get no time to spend with their children. Their children become more distant to them. They also don’t get to know their children well and don’t know if they are facing problems. To make up for the lack of attention, parents give their children gadgets. They think that this will be enough and a good solution. However, this is only a temporary solution and might even make the situation worse. The gadgets get the attention of the children but the gadgets don’t give attention to the child. As a result, children will only get addicted to the gadget. Since they are still not getting attention, the gap existing between them will widen more. Applications that can be downloaded on gadgets can aid children in learning. It can help them in learning the basics like numbers, letters, shapes and colors. Even without the help of their parents, they could feed their curiosity. This is a great risk since children can handle it on their own. They could just use it for fun. They could also access things on the internet that they are not supposed to see and can ruin their
