his study is about the effect of the democratic management style on the control of employees and job satisfaction. This essay will mainly study what kind of companies can use the management style and study the advantages and disadvantages of the democratic management style in employees control and job satisfaction. In terms of employees control and job satisfaction, this essay analyzes the influences of the management style from some aspect, such as the communication between employees and staff.
Democratic management is a type of management styles and the style is considered to be the most important part of the democratic leadership. ‘Leadership in the developmental model is concerned above all with aspiring to the common human good and working to create the conditions that give everyone a chance to fulfil their potential.’ (Woods, 2005:10). This is an explanation of the democratic management leadership. The leader who have the democratic management leadership always use the democratic management style. The management style mean that all employees of the company can take part in the decision making of the company. Mutual respect between managers and the governed is the base of the democratic management style because this management style require manager include leaders cooperate with other employees.

When a company can adopt employee’s ideals, employees have a sense of responsibility to company and job satisfaction is increased naturally. However, when employees feel their ideals are ignored and they can’t feel the equality, the management style will reduce the job satisfaction. According to Locke (1979),if employees who take part in the decision-making process think their demand is not considered for companies, in other words , companies can’t use the democratic management style reasonably . it may decrease the job satisfaction of
