For me it was just a bit difficult just because I somewhat compared almost every situation I have been in high school and how I would just hide from things and not put myself out there. It tends to be fun until you know for sure you two are different people and start to not like each other. Because for me, I thought it would be a great idea to room with a person I knew, but it for sure was not because we would somewhat get into an agreement and not talk for a while. Plus, also when rooming with someone make sure they do not have medication that will make you feel uncomfortable if they do not take it every day like they are supposed to. Never keep things bottled up in any situation with a roommate or someone you do not like. Because of me, I would be mad and not talk about it when people are in the room when I was trying to sleep or just want some relaxing and quiet time. I have to down size rooms when I came to college just because I was so used to sleeping in my own room and having a room to myself that has just a little bit bigger. Best advice for living in the dorm is to not know your roommate. But make sure you check everything that you have so just in case you get one of those roommates that likes to steal especially if its food. Make sure you guys spilt the cleaning supplies you need for your room. Living with someone that it not part of your family helps with having more responsibility. Plus, you can me more open with others and make different relationships. For me, I know I act way different when I am around my family than I do in college great attitude but it is not the best. Best advice is to act like yourself no matter who you are and where you came from. Which everyone should take that
