Social psychologists are highly educated individuals with a bachelor 's degree in psychology or a related field, along with a master 's or doctorate degree in social psychology, which is important because as Nelson Mandela once said Quote: “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” While some employers may require a Ph.D., social psychologists can find work with just a master 's degree in the field. A program pertaining to social psychology incorporates education in current issues in psychology, social psychology, research design and social change. The required education for social psychology is a Master’s or Doctorate degree .Another requirement may be a state license. While other people might see disadvantages of working in this field as dealing with clients as “stressful and draining”, having an erratic schedule, setting up one’s own practice, dealing with billing issues, and constantly trying to bring in new business. Barriers that could keep me from reaching this goal are academic costs and challenges. I always fear that I won’t be able to pay for college and that it will interfere with my dream to become psychologist.
