Introduction into the topic
- Manager always worked in an international environment and various cultures
- Manager cannot imagine how wok will be in a national environment
- Main Advantage of virtual teams is the extra dimension that is added to the team work. This has something to with the inputs of different people of the world. Current focus is on a pan-European team creation.
- One has to be mindful. Big mistake in the beginning of the career was to be very direct. If one does not realise how one is perceived and what reaction one triggers. It is important to know how one comes across and not only how people come across …show more content…
It can be a burden to rely on technological solutions. Also team moral can be an issue. One has to keep everybody’s work engagement high in order to achieve good outputs. This usually requires some extra attention from the manager. The whole package of virtuality requires extra planning and extra timing from everybody.
1st Theme: Communication

- Everyone needs a lot of information as many people have several heads within a company. Sometimes people don’t see the use of passing information on. This can be mitigated with a good framework, as many people have to understand why people need certain information. One also has to recognise how to dose the amount of questions, because there is a threat of not being taken seriously if the amount of queries it too high – especially in high-pressure seasons.
Wrap up:
- This job is not easy, especially to the extent of virtuality this programme is running, but it is still very interesting.
- Sometimes the job can get very stressful, especially when one looses oneself in some tasks. But there is a lot of support around which is helping out a lot and takes away some of the
