Clinical psychology is a unique field of work and it differs from all other mental and health professions. Clinical psychologist differs from other psychology disciplines. Clinical psychologist focus on psychotherapy. Clinical Psychologist work more with seriously disturbed populations more so than the other disciplines (Pomerantz, 2013), working in hospitals and inpatients units. In addition, compared to the other disciplines in psychology, clinical psychologist spend a great deal of their time in assessments, teaching, research and supervision activities (Pomerantz, 2013). This paper will describe the difference between Clinical Psychologists and Psychiatric Technicians, Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW), Psychiatric Nurses, and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners.
