In World War ll there were many disadvantages but also many advantages. One of the main advantages was, medical this was a new direct response to a brand new kind of weaponry. That was created in the years of 1939 to 1945 and had grown since then. At the start of the of the 20th century there was a revolution of technology that affected aspects of military medicine. Medical journals were being copied and sent over seas, could communicate over telegraph and telephone. This meant that noe for the first time all countries were on an equal basis of science and medicine. The advent of antiseptics, X-rays, vaccines against diseases, a major breakthroughs in surgery pioneered by scientist such as Lister and Pasteur occurred toward the end of the 1900’s.
Combat Medics:
First aid care was given at the site of injury by company aidmen, usually within the first half-hour after wounding. They had the most income of patients. They are the on field doctors and nurses who care for the soldiers who need immediate care. Being a veteran came with a lot of problems as life went on many lost limbs, sight, or even the ability to be sane after they leave war. So many women and men wore uniforms and fought for their country and what they believed in. It's as if they are shell shocked and don't know what else to do but move on because they survived something not many people could even try to do. If you met a certain criteria then you were diagnosed with PTSD which meant they had to go through many things to either overcome the battle or took drastic measures.
