The Advantage of the Internet for Me as a Student How many days can you survive without the internet? One of the most current issues students all around the world deal with is the usage of the internet. In the preceding years there was no use of the internet or even a possibility of any universal connection. I was totally in habit of using books, newspapers, and magazines searching for the needed information. Whenever the teachers asked me to search about something related to our lessons I have to use library in order to collect some information. Even sometimes I have to find some books from other places outside because the school library was not as good as a so called library. I could hardly find a useful book there. Very easily just by one click or pushing a single button I can reach a large amount of books, articles, magazines, and etc. In a millisecond I can find useful data or even the most primary kind of information in all fields of studies without spending time searching through books from a library to another. I also don’t have to be worry about taking care of books or carrying them with me everywhere which concerns actually the matter of weight. Another issue dealing with time is to give books back to the library on time. I had a limited amount of time to read or keep the book. While I am studying at home or in the classroom without any waste of time I search various subjects and discuss them with my friends. I could hardly call them when they live far away from us let alone send photos or videos. Nowadays the internet gives me the possibilities to not only call my friends but also to share any kind of file I like with them even if they are miles away. Just in a second I share my ideas and read others to see what’s going on around the world. Beside normal calls I can have video calls and talk to our friends online. I can be linked with great universities or institutes around the world and use some of their facilities online. Using social media makes it much easier for me to be up to date. I can read news about the recently added discoveries in our fields of study immediately after they are released. It makes me be more active. I try to refresh my information every day even every hour. I use these social media as a tool which helps my knowledge development per second. Right now I see the internet as a tool which is inseparable from every second of my life, because of its great interference in our daily educational development. While it helps us reach even the smallest parts of the world it helps us save a lot of time and energy. In comparison to books it is more affordable and it is the fastest way to reach a huge amount of information. In addition to collecting data I have the possibility of finding international friends and sharing my ideas with them. For me as student
