ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES

WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF EASILY OBTAINABLE INFORMATION? Although there are probably a ton of advantages and disadvantages in this area, I can only name a couple. First of all the advantages to being able to get information easily on the Internet are not having to look through a ton of books or paperwork just to find the information that you need. On the Internet you can pull up addresses and phone numbers and different information on individual people as well as directions o absolutely anywhere you could ever dream of going. The disadvantages to that is being at risk for identity theft and not even know about it until you start getting phones calls from debt collectors. Another disadvantage to that is that anyone could find you and stalk you or anything crazy. Unfortunatley, that is what this world has turned in to. We have to always be careful what we put out there about ourselves. Another advantage is being able to find family that you have not seen in years and being able to keep in touch with them. That is what social media plays a part in.

For instance, on Facebook you can enable private or public for your posts. That means that if your post is public, it means that anyone you do not have blocked on Facebook can see anything that you put on there. If you chose the private setting for your post, the only people that will be able to see it is your friend and family that you have on your friends
