One problem that I have found a solution to is growing the amount of students from diverse backgrounds to take Advance Placement courses. Around twenty-six percent of my school consist of minorities; however, only two percent of those minorities participate in AP courses. I talked to some of my peers who I felt we able to handle the rigorous course load and explained to them how taking these classes will be beneficial. Many of those students will be first-generation college students and I knew that colleges would like to classes that will be challenging. I went through different school program that also helped me recruit more people to take the courses. At the start of my senior year the amount of minorities in AP classes has increase. The
