I have a very big problem with the way public education teaches students. As mentioned in the grand challenge “Throughout the educational system, teaching has traditionally followed a one-size-fits-all approach to learning, with a single set of instructions provided identically to everybody in a given class, regardless of differences in aptitude or interest.” (Advance Personalized Learning). I feel like I’d be most useful is promoting a better way of teaching if I work in person with these students. I’ve noticed that students learn better when the teacher is more engaged with the students instead of just focusing on giving a lecture. By feeling comfortable with a teacher students would be more compelled to ask questions they don't feel confident asking. There are some high schools that have their engineering programs so I could possibly start there. Obviously to work in such a program I would need to at least have a bachelor's degree in engineering, have a teaching degree, and be licensed to teach engineering. There are some schools in New York that have these types of high schools programs where “ students can opt to concentrate in engineering, selecting courses on topics such as civil engineering and architecture.”(How To Become An Engineering Teacher). Obviously I would be working for the school district that I'm in and I would have to report to the principle of that school, occasionally a
