Advance Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) and a registered nurse (RN) are mandated to follow the regulations in their states of practice. In terms of regulations, an APRN has focused scope of practice which has limitation to practice, unlike the RNs with broad scope of practice (Hudspeth,2009).
