I went one question at a time, making note of similar responses and insight from my participants. Some of the answers surprised me because they were not what I had expected. In response to question four, which asked whether they had ever been treated differently because of their tattoos/piercings, all except one answered no. Most of them had never experienced any discrimination in their workplace. Secondly, all of my participants recognized the negative perception of tattoos that most of the world has. Finally, they all agreed that these views on body modifications were changing.
