Adult nursing is a lifelong learning experience, a vocation and a profession that I really wish to join. My aim is to become a fully qualified adult nurse, building on the foundation of previous training and my current position as a healthcare practitioner at Westminster Home Care. I have had this desire since 2013 when I studies the preliminary aspects of health and social care at Level 1. I particularly enjoyed learning and understanding the different units such as promoting healthy eating in care, effective communication with adults and managing my health as well as the patient’s health at work. Many of the skills that I have developed, such as time keeping, organisation, communication, compassion and care values are all transferable into nursing. By studying adult nursing, I hope to be able to make an impact on the world by providing people with the care they need. I am passionate about working with adults internationally in parts of the world where the health care sectors are of poor quality. To make a practical difference in the life of others less fortunate than myself is something that I am incredibly enthusiastic about. In my spare time, I socialise with my friends and work part time. I try my very best to keep a healthy balance of my academic studies and free time so I don’t get behind with any course work. My friends are very important to me as I am a very much a people person. I think this is a good quality to have. I am so happy about this coming September, as I will be taking on challenges. I have the motivation, determination to achieve my desired career as it will open a gateway of opportunities for me and I know I could achieve the qualifications I want to proceed in my ambition of adult nursing. I know that becoming an adult nurse will come with some challenges but I am convinced that the rewards far exceed any difficulties that I could come across. I am very
