This does not however talk about the stress of knowing your child is growing up with another family, even if they know the couple would be good parents. It is not the job of the fertile to give up months of their lives and their bodies to provide for those who can’t have children. The choice could, and most likely will, have a major impact on her life. It will start with not having the right kind of access to things they need, “It means that women have less control over their sexuality (the power to say "no" and access to birth control) and that support for women in unplanned pregnancies is lacking(Adoption Is Not a 'cure' for Abortion).” When the woman’s choices are taken from her or simply unobtainable it can leave her feeling she has no choice but to choose the one she may have hoped to avoid. It can leave her feeling helpless and forced into a bad situation, which in turn could leave lasting damage.When a person is not supported in such an extreme situation to the point where she feels she has to give up her body so she once again has the help of those around her, it changes the amount of stress and depression felt in the situation. There is a harsher truth behind everything, “Many research studies have shown that adoptees and birth mothers suffer more from depression, and that there is a higher rate of suicide among these populations(Do Adoptees Have More Problems?).” The mother is put in danger of her life and even if it doesn’t the depression could truly ruin her life. There is nothing that can be done when someone takes their own life but to prevent any of this from happening would have been a simple procedure that would have
