Adoption: The Pros And Cons Of Abortion

Improved Essays
There are many feelings about killing a little human being that can’t be defended; I think it is terrible to have an abortion. An abortion is where the fetus inside of a mother is being killed. A precious baby is a wonderful gift of life that no one should harm or kill. There are many ways that abortions can be avoided. Abstinence, birth control, and there is even the choice of adoption. There are many options and people should not limit themselves to one, the worst one, abortion.
Imagine being able to hear a little voice telling their mother how much they can’t wait to meet her, or saying how much they love the sound of their heartbeat. Professional caregivers might be able to hear it at eight weeks, but it’s more common around twelve weeks.

When a woman's body matures they get their menstrual cycle which allows them to become pregnant, when timed correctly and appropriately. Some parents put kids on birth control. “Birth control allows a pregnancy to be prevented and the timing of your pregnancy.” (Planned Parenthood, 2016) There are many types of birth control. There is the birth control patch, pill or shot. These are the most common types of birth control, but there are others like the birth control sponge or the implant. “The birth control implant is when a rod is inserted in the arm. The sponge is inserted inside of the women and will prevent pregnancy and is a cheaper method of birth control.” Before choosing a birth control method, make sure it is the right kind for one’s body. Birth control should be based on the health, sexual activity and someone’s desire to have children. “The pill was approved in 1960 by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration it is one of the most effective forms of reversible birth control ever invented. More than 18 million US women rely on birth control pills.” (2006). People should take a minute and think about all the options they have before they kill a human being. Remember how they do the abortions. They aren’t just harming the baby, they are harming the mother’s body also. If a young adult or kid gets pregnant, make sure you look at what it can do to them. Also, they should think about how they could help change another's family. They could make a family complete by putting their child up for adoption if they cannot take care of their

A theory about religion is that life starts at conception. People with other beliefs should not be forced to abide by this certain theory. Legal abortion today states that human life starts at birth, but when a baby is born, it grows and develops into a teenager, then a mature adult, until it finally becomes old and dies. Humans are made to develop and change, so a human becomes a human during conception.…

Abortion In our society we have become stupendously crazed with rights, as well as being politically correct. Whether talking about domestic pets or wild animals, there will be a tremendous out cry if they are hurt or treated badly. Even with all of this the unborn child is not protected. Instead of looking at abortion as the solution for an unwanted pregnancy, I believe a person should be looking for the solution to abortion.…

Over the past decades, women in America have been fighting for equal rights. According to John Markoff, “Rivals for elective office assiduously courted New Jersey’s women voters until the legislature wrote a new, explicitly males-only rule into its 1807 constitution.” (88) It was not until 1973 that women gained the right to abort a fetus that they were bearing within their own body. Although women have gained many rights, they still today are fighting to keep their right to abort a fetus. Many individuals notice that there are underlying issues with suppressing abortion, but others oppose the idea of an abortion.…

They can take a birth control that has hormone pills for every day of the month and virtually gets rid of their period all together. This way they do not have to worry about having their period for special events. It gets rid of the headaches and cramping that come monthly to most women (Birth control pill FAQ, 2016). With these perks of birth control, there are also risks.…

There has been a long existing debate of “Pro-Life” versus “Pro-Choice” about whether or not women should be able to abort a child. Many people being Pro-Choice will use the argument that the fetus isn 't a living person, and rather that it is the woman’s body; therefore the woman’s choice. There are other options women have such as adoption: waiting until the baby is born and providing the child a well-suited family to properly care for them. I believe any way you can avoid aborting a child is better than abortion because you give the child a chance for life. An unborn child in the womb contains all of the characteristics for it to be considered living, proving abortion is morally and scientifically wrong.…

For fifty years birth control has been around for woman to decrease the chances of becoming pregnant, but what about for men? For the last ten years researchers have been trying to come up with new ways of contraception for males other than condoms, abstinence, and a vasectomy. Of those one of them is one hundred percent guaranteed no pregnancy (abstinence). A vasectomy is not always one hundred percent against protecting if something happens to go wrong with the procedure, and lastly condoms. In the case of Mrs. Adams and her decision to abort the fetus, I will attempt to discuss the implications and how these arguments fit into this particular predicament. Mrs. Adams finds out that she is pregnant despite her use of contraception, she finds herself unable to provide for the fetus especially because she has to provide for her two children and the upcoming one if she would have decided to keep the fetus. Using Marquis’s argument, he would say that this abortion is morally unjustified because this is a circumstance in which she should be able to keep the child. He would say that it is wrong because the fetus will not be able to have a valuable future. The mother is simply assuming that she would not be able to provide because they…
