A love that started in the rain

The rain slowly dropped down, from the big oak tree near mistletoe falls. I saw teardrops, dripping from a beautiful girl in blue. She looked on edge and very bereaved. As I walked up to her I knew something was seriously wrong. I asked in a concerning voice “Are you okay?” She replied “My parents, they died in a car accident when I was fifteen and I then got put up for adoption. I got adopted by to people who hate me to death. So I ran away and I’ve been living on the streets for three weeks.” I asked her “Come, I’ll drive you to mine and you can have a hot shower and some food there.” She was very wary at the start but I knew I would do no harm.

We drove off into the moonlight, with the car radio playing

Where I held her, while I helped her into the car. There was a part of me where I felt attached to her and never wanted to leave her. But I didn’t want to make her uncovertebral at all so I hid the feelings for many weeks. Until on day where they came up.

I was sitting on the couch one afternoon just watching suits when she hobbled in with her crutches, I instantly rushed to her aid. That moment when I touched her I knew she was the one I had been waiting for, for so long. The connection was so strong I couldn’t hold it in any longer, I had to ask if she felt the same. With a deep breath and hesitation, I asked her, “Do you like me more than a friend? Because I do, every time I see you I always get goose bumps, and feel a huge gust of anxiety because of how perfect you are. I want to know if you feel the same?”

She then told me, that she’d always felt that way about me. But was scared to tell me, just in case I didn’t feel the same because it would’ve been awkward if it was only one sided feelings. I told her “That the first day I saw her I knew God gave me a gift and my mission was to protect and love you for the rest of my

Will you marry me! This was an exciting time but the timing was just spectacular the fireworks just went off in the shape of a heart that said I love you. I finally heard the words which felt like a 100 years to wait for, Yes I will marry you. I jumped with excitement as she leapt into my arms were we kissed. We sat at the back of the boat were we watched waves wash passed. I stared into her beautiful big brown eyes and knew this marriage would last an eternity.

A few wonderful years had passed were I was lucky enough to know this amazing, independent woman with great heart. She had carried my beautiful daughter for a very long nine months and we were both so eager for her delivery to finally meet her after these long, long months. The birth was amazing the first time I laid eyes on her I felt the connection between both of us and I will always cherish that amazing feeling. The nurse then had taken her away for her health check up just to make sure everything was okay and she was a healthy little daddy’s princess.

We arrived home after a week and we were adjusting to being first time parents. This so wonderful I could swear this is a dream though. The girl I meet a few years ago on the streets is the girl I’m happily married to with a beautiful baby girl and hopefully move children on the way.

They are living happily ever after, and

With my heart about to beat out of my chest, I make my way down the long narrow hallway that takes me to the courtroom where my family is waiting . I remember seeing all of the yellow caution wet signs scattered down the hall, letting people know that they had just finished mopping the smooth white floors. As I stand in front of the tall wooden doors that separate me from the court room, I cant help but wonder what all could go wrong. Does my step dad really want to adopt me? Will the judge grant the adoption?…

People often define me by saying, “He is adopted.” They are wrong. While I was adopted, adoption does not define me, it is merely something that happened to me. When I was a child living in Siberia, my father was away in the army.…

I kept my jacket slung over my shoulders in the event that I would be summoned outside again, and toiled my way into the kitchen before placing the contents of my pocket onto the table in preparation. The onslaught of my stomachs tantrum and distaste, with being unattended to for longer than it would like, began as a low hum and swelled to a vicious gurgle upon coming to the realization that it would soon be fed; and, naturally, the state of one’s stomach directly dictates the demeanor of its master, or so it seemed. Immediately wishing of nothing other than accommodating to nourishment and good morale, I garnered a pan from the drawer beneath the stove, ignited the stove, and placed the pan on top. I took a glance towards the table and counted…
