Why You Should Adopt A Dog

Have you decided that there is something missing in your life? Do you often find yourself bored, tired, or lonely? You should get a dog! When you choose to add a four- legged friend to your family you need to decide whether you should adopt or buy. Buying a dog can be expensive whereas adopting a dog is very affordable. There are many reasons to adopt a furry friend. If you adopt a canine companion, you are saving a life. Adopting is also a great way to get a healthy dog plus being a dog owner will improve your health as well. Besides, a dog will add endless entertainment and joy to your life. Unfortunately, there are millions of homeless animals in the United States and there are not enough shelters to house all of them. Because the populations are so large in these facilities, sometimes they must euthanize animals that do not get adopted. The number of animals that get euthanized would be significantly decreased if people would adopt a pet instead of buying one. When you adopt, you are saving an animal’s life. I know I am extremely glad that I did. After helping out at a local animal shelter, I decided that I wanted to add some excitement (with a side of responsibility) to my life. There has not been a single dull moment since I rescued my pup. Some of her behaviors have made me laugh so hard that I cried. She provides me with unequivocal love and devotion. Her affections pick me up when I am down. She has an endless source of energy, which helps keep me in shape while trying to wear her out. There have even been times when she has protected me from danger. So please, adopt a dog, there are so many reasons you should. I can tell you from experience, you will be glad you
