I already know that Adolf Hitler was the leader of the holocaust, He had a lot to do with the camps and how it all came to happen. I also know that he was apart of both World Wars. He was the one that made everyone believe that the Jews were to be punished and other minorities of the time. If it weren’t for his success in public speaking, the holocaust wouldn’t been as devastating as it was. I would like to know how he was able to keep the camps going for so long without anyone stopping them. I would also like to know how he gained all of his popularity to actually have the holocaust happen. Also, what was his motive to cause so many deaths? The Search
I went to the library to find information on my topic. I first found a book that answered my questions. The book was called Understanding the Holocaust. I looked at the chapter on Adolf Hitler. It brought me to a timeline of his life and how he contributed to the holocaust. It also told me how he gained so much popularity in Germany. The book was a good source because it answered the questions I had. After the book, I used the library’s computers to search for more answers to my questions. The first site I used was “jewishvirtuallibrary.org.” This site had a lot of facts on the camps and how they came to be. It answered one question I had, which is how Hitler helped to start the holocaust. The site was more used for daily life in the camps, but it did help me. The next site I used was “history,com” It also had a lot of facts on his life and how he was related to the holocaust. It explained how he started it very clearly and how he was apart of the government which helped answer my questions. It was a useful source because it answered some of the questions I had. Another website I used was “biography.com” which was also a very good source. It had information on Hitler’s life from birth to death. It explained his climb to the top. He wanted to distinguish his unique group, so he created the swastika. It was put on trucks that drove around so people could connect the symbol to his party. It was then put onto the Nazis jackets so they were different from the others. Hitler was also the head of the state, which means he had some control over the government. He was a supreme commander, which gave him more power and publicity. He had a big part of the German government. Through the years, he got a higher rank in the government. Without that, he wouldn’t be well known.

He convinced them that what he was doing was right and everyone believed him.
