A phenomenon occurred in the 1930s that we vow as a society to never let happen again. These events take up a dark spot in human history. As a result, millions of lives were lost, and a war that created an entire time period of human history. All a result of a political party, a failing country, and the ambition of a man. The Nazi party started in Germany, by two working class men. In 1919 it began as the German Workers Party. This political party promoted German Pride, and Anti-Semitism. Anti-Semitism was the belief that the Jewish ethnic group was inferior and that they were the source of all the world’s evil. A man by the name of Adolf Hitler took control of this party in 1921. Hitler was a charismatic young man and had fought fought in WWI. Both his parents were dead, and he had also been rejected by an art school. …show more content…
This was his attempt to take over the nation. He was tried and convicted with five years in prison. With his name in the public, he became chancellor of Germany in 1933. That same year, he opened the Political Prison of Dachau. This eventually became of the many infamous death camps. Where Jews, Homosexuals, Disabled, Gypsies, and many more groups of people thought to be inferior to the Aryan Race. The Aryan Race is people with Blond hair, blue eyes, and white skin. The rest of the world did not know of Hitler’s hateful agenda, and he made sure to hide this fact. Before the 1936 Berlin olympics, Hitler passed a law banning anybody who wasn’t Aryan from organized sports. Some top rate Jewish athletes were removed from Germany’s teams. When the olympics came around, Germany hid everything that would lead people to find out about their oppressing policies. They hid certain signs, and took down posters. Creating the facade of a peaceful, tolerating Germany. Hitler’s Aryan athletes were all shown up by a Black, non-Aryan from America. This man was Jesse
