Adolf Hitler’s mass execution and persecution of the Jewish race and the enslavement of blacks in America both operate on the same principle: dehumanization of others based on their culture and race. Adolf Hitler was born on April 20, 1889 in Braunau am In, a small town in modern day Austria. He was born to Alois Hitler and Karla Polzl. His father was emotionally abusive and rejected Adolf’s interest in a career in art, which lead to him becoming detached and reclusive, with a resentful attitude toward his father. It is thought that Adolf showed an interest in German nationalism from an early age, which played a crucial role in the direction of his life. The Germans were desperate for change, and this provided Hitler with the perfect opportunity to rise to power. He was an exceptional speaker, and drew the attention of many people from all around Germany. His propaganda campaign, focused on giving a new life to the struggling people of Germany, was very successful. The Nazi party quickly gained status and became very powerful, giving Adolf control over much of Germany in 1933. The Nazi party was based on National Socialism. The Nazi’s used totalitarian means of governing Germany, giving Adolf Hitler complete power. The Nazi party appealed to the German citizens because of it’s socialist values, saying that he could give them new and wonderful lives. This attracted support from the working class, who were suffering financially due to the economic depression.
