Over 50 million people died because of WWII according to The National WWII Museum and many credit Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party for the start of the war. Hitler’s anti-semitic views also led to 6 million Jews dying during the Holocaust. So how did such an evil leader with radical views rise to have so much power? During Adolf Hitler’s early life he experienced many tragedies and developed his anti-semitic views during this period. At 6:30 p.m. Hitler’s life started on April 20, 1889 in a small Austrian village of Braunau Am Inn. He was baptised a Catholic although he was religiously skeptical. At a young age Hitler developed a passion for visual arts(“Adolf Hitler: Early Years,1889-1913.”). As he grew older he enjoyed painting and took a trip to Vienna to examine art when he was 17("Rise of Hitler: Hitler Fails Art Exam."). While in Vienna young Hitler fell in love with the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts. “In October 1907, at age eighteen, he withdrew his inheritance money from the bank and went to live and study in Vienna.”("Rise of Hitler: Hitler Fails Art Exam."). His mother developed breast cancer but Hitler’s ambition for visual arts overcame his reluctance to leave her. Hitler soon took the two day entrance exam at the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts but failed acceptance. The school was primarily runned by Jews so being denied helped develop his anti-semitic views. He soon moved back to his home to visit his dying mother however she dies just a few days after Hitler came…
