Adolescents frequently need guidance on their progression to adulthood. The developmental changes which they undergo can often be challenging. Adolescents are often influenced by their social circumstances, and need guidance from others to know what to do in certain situations. Circumstances are vital to understanding when and where it is a good place to stop a discussion about the adolescents sexual and physical changes which they are going through. I would propose that there are different stages in which a parent or authority should progressively inform the adolescent of their development. One of the best lessons that they can be taught during this time in their life is that friends are temporary, they come and go, but Christ remains. Adolescents should be taught what God’s plans are for them and how they have been designed according to Genesis 2:23-25. The verses affirms that they are designed to leave their parents when they become older and be joined in marriage to one another, where they can then experience the benefits of marriage physically, but not prior. If and when they go down the wrong path it is important to explain to them that Christ is forgiving. When this happens they can often feel lost and bad about themselves. They need to know that they are still loved and are forgiven for Christ’s sake as seen in 1 Peter 2:22-25. They can be comforted in that Christ died for them and even though they sin, and often fall short of the glory of God, they are seen as righteous due to Christ’s ultimate
