Although it seems like Facebook’s communication platform benefits most people equally, adolescents are actually affected by this huge media. Considering the fact that Facebook can promote a tremendous number of people to participate in a discussion, this idea also matches up with the adolescents’ psychology and emotions. As Romer, the research director of the Annenberg Public Policy Center and director of its Adolescent Communication Institute, said “Adolescence is the period of life characterized by a rise in sensation seeking” (263). This implies that teenagers prioritize their emotions and feelings over other aspects. They prefer to seek new ideas and feelings that they have not experienced before or something contradict to their intellection
