Adolescents identifying as lesbian, gay, and bisexual (LGB) eventually come-out to their parents, which has an impact on the whole family. Saltzburg found that “the period of time between coming-out to parents and parent adjustment, was emotionally difficult, leaving these young people at risk” (2007, p. 58).
