That some of the scales mentioned in the article are useful tools for examining adolescents anxiety and depression. The information being used by the author and its relationship to the main issue is to test the fit of measurement models, examine agreement in mother- and self-reported measures and to examine unique and shared information from both anxious and depressive symptoms. The implications of the conclusions is that anxiety and depression both have negative effects on children even though it's normal, as children are more emotional and sensitive than adults.
