I have chosen to do a child study on my daughter Emily, Emily is currently twenty one month’s however she was born prematurely at thirty-six weeks, Emily had a very difficult birth which resulted in her being born without a pulse, preterm and at a low birth weight, Emily also experience seizers within the first week of life, many test and examinations where done too see if Emily has any long term effect from this traumatic birth, she is currently under paediatric care, but so far Emily is showing to be meeting all of the expected norms for a twenty month old according to the early years framework.
Emily’s family consists of her mother, father and her four year old brother, they live in a two bedroom first floor flat with garden access in front of their accommodation, which includes a park and playing field. Emily attends a local nursery school three days a week eight am- six pm where she is open to many opportunity’s such as forest school which includes the opportunity to learn about her surrounding and learning to sympathize with other living animals.
