It says, “my boyfriend and his best friend remember seeing you there, too.” (E.1,P.17). Thiscan’t be true because according to Becky, Adnan asked Hae for a ride which proves that Adnan was not in the library at the time of Hae’s murder. “I remember it felt like he asked her to give him a--give him a ride somewhere.”(E.2,P.40).
To conclude, Adnan is guilty and not innocent for the murder of Hae Min Lee. A factor that makes Adnan guilty is his bad character because outside of his home he was involved in a lot of bad things that are forbidden from his religion and he never told his parents. Also, his friend Jay was a witness and saw Hae’s dead body when he went to pick up Adnan. More importantly, people from Adnan’s high school said that they remember Adnan asking and getting a ride from Hae after

This means the murder occurred between the time school let out at 2:15 to 2:36 pm. In the podcast, Serial, Sarah Koenig and an acquaintance attempted to retrace the events that occurred on the day of the murder based on cell phone records. They found that by rushing through traffic the fastest they could get to Best Buy was in 18 mins which, only leaves 3 mins for the actual murder to occur. In that time Adnan would have to strangle Hae, pick up her dead body and stuff it in the trunk, and then place a call to Jay from a telephone pole. There are several issues with this theory for example how is it possible to get a dead body into the trunk of a car without being noticed in the middle of the day or, why was there no evidence of a struggle when Hae was known to be an athletic girl who was in shape.…

There is no physical evidence that Adnan committed the murder, just assumptions and theories that led to his imprisonment. Jay, Adnan’s best friends boyfriend, tells the cops that Adnan had let him know that he was going to kill Hae. He also states that Adnan gives him his car and cellphone but who does this with someone you don't really know. There is no true evidence here. Jay even lets the cops know he helped bury Hae’s body.…

Why should Adnan Syed be considered innocent? In this investigation, a man named Adnan Syed was accused of murdering his girlfriend, Hae Min Lee. His old best friend Jay, said he witness the dead body of Hae after Adnan killed her. Adnan should be considered innocent because, during the murder of Hae, Adnan was seen at the library by Asia Mclean, wasn’t that upset about the breakup, and was a smart student who wouldn’t kill anyone after they broke up. First, Adnan is innocent because Asia Mclean and her boyfriend saw him at the library.…

Not only that but the only person who claims to have seen him in that time frame “called one of the prosecutors in… the case…and undermined her own statement” proving his actual location was unknown at the time. It is unusual that Adnan would not remember anything about this crucial day because he received a phone call from the police. He says he does “remember that phone call and [he does] remember being high at the time” but continues to deny remembering anything else because the day was “normal”, but, receiving a phone call from the police does not seem very normal and most people would remember the events leading up to it. Another reason why Adnan is legally at fault is because he…

Now one would come to the conclusion that you would not forget the day that you killed someone, but not in Adnan’s case. He could not remember anything. There was one substantial detail that stood out to me about this day and it’s that Adnan got a call from Officer Adcock about Hae’s disappearance. Sarah Koenig asks Adnan, “would not the call from Officer Adcock make it not a normal day?” (Koenig, “The Case Against Adnan Syed”).…

The second reason I think Adnan must be innocent is because there are too many inconsistencies that Jay provides during his testimony while being interviewed by the police. Jay provides many stories, which sometimes do not match up to Adnan’s story or to the stories he provides. There were many inconsistencies that did not make sense, of which I will share the 3 that I found most important, which you can find in episode 4 called “Inconsistencies". The…

Anatomy of a Murder: An Analysis The 1959 movie version of the book, “Anatomy of a Murder”, which was written in 1958, depicts the trial of Army Lieutenant Frederick Manion, who is accused of murder in the death of a local barkeep. There is no question as to whether Manion shot and killed the bartender, as the shooting and death occurred inside the bar in full view of eye-witnesses and Manion does not deny killing him. From the beginning, the answer to “Who, What, When, Where, How and Why” not only becomes the centerpiece of the trial process, but also serves as an overview of the strategy and skills needed for the defense attorney and prosecutor to convince the jury of believing in, and finding their argument as the most convincing. There…

Even with all of this in mind, the court sees him as the main suspect and is not dissuaded by his normal persona. They pin him as Hae Min Lee’s killer by using the jealous boyfriend stereotype. It is also bad for his case when there are phone records and accounts of him acting strange on the day of her murder. Jay seems to be the only one that has a story that is sound enough to have Adnan as the main suspect.…
