Admiral Characteristics

In English class, we have read many stories about people with admiral traits. For example, Lincoln was incredibly honest, Kennedy was extraordinarily brave, and Margaret Bourke-White was able to have a sense of humor in difficult times. Although these three people possessed equally important traits, however, others throughout history who have also expressed their fine characteristics and inspired others. Three different people with three different traits have spoken out to me. Those people are Jesus, Walt Disney, and Princess Diana. To begin with, I chose Jesus because he was perfect in all things. Although he demonstrated several admiral traits throughout his lifetime, his willingness to forgive stood out to me as the most …show more content…
During her reign, Diana was called the “People’s Princess”, because she supported the sick, and was able to change the way millions of people looked at AIDS, HIV, cancer, and other diseases. Diana once sat on the side of a sick man’s bed, holding his hand. By doing this, she hoped that she could demonstrate that all people, even those with disease, are equal, Later, she stated: “HIV does not make people dangerous to know, so you can shake their hands and give them a hug, Heaven knows they need it.” Stressing the value of equality, Dianna spread knowledge about social issues, which led to the growth of people who were otherwise overlooked by society. Her giving nature and want of equality earned her the name “Servant Leader”, and is why she is considered a hero in many people’s eyes. Although these three people demonstrate three necessary admirable traits, I would like to be more like Princess Diana. Even though she was rich and royal, she took time out of her life to make other’s lives better. Incredibly selfless, Diana wanted the very best for all those suffering around her, and around the world. Because she was part of the elite class, she had the power and the money to affect change, however, she used that power to give back, not get more for herself like many others have
