Administering Justice through Community Partnership

I have developed an interest in caring for the needs of others while working in the healthcare field, volunteering, and while promoting public relations throughout my community. I have been afforded the opportunity to care for the sick and elderly as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for 7 years. I have been a volunteer for Richland County, Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) and the South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice for 10 months. Throughout my tenure as a Guardian ad litem and a Volunteer Probation Officer I have worked with juvenile clients and their families in order to deter criminal behaviors through education and counselling. In addition, I have been a Mentor with Volunteers of America for 1 year. My role as a Mentor has allowed me to provide guidance to children whose parents are incarcerated. I believe serving my community is my calling through integrity, diligence and compassion. I’m a firm believer that when I become conscious of a problem it becomes my problem which leaves no space selfish acts.

I currently hold my Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Alabama State University (ASU), having graduated cum laude with a GPA of 3.216. While attending ASU, I completed two professional internships with Birmingham Police Department (3 months) and The City of Auburn Police Department (5 months).
