Adjo And Luc A Short Story

When I was 10 years old I suffered the loss of my two dogs, Adjo and Luca. Even though Adjo had died a year or two earlier, but both of their deaths still made the same impact on me. I had to overcome their deaths, and stay strong. The perseverance I had built up over the years helped me get through the tough times in my life, no matter how hard it hit me. These were the times.

Adjo always was calm and good, he listened, he worked, and he was such a great dog we let him come inside the house a lot (and that’s saying something). He was never a spaz and never bit anyone unless he was working, he just never did anything bad. He lived until he was about 15 years old (that is 105 years in dog years), that is a very long time, because the average life span of a Belgian Malinois is 12 - 14 years. Adjo always was happy and active, and always cheered me up, that’s why I will always miss him.

He was a great dog but once he retired he was still a spaz. He was just crazy enough that we had to give him to another man in the valley, who would take care of him and calm him down. Just like Adjo he lived to be about 14 - 15 years old when he died. I found out he died when I was just coming home from school, and my Mom got a call. He died that day but I will always remember him in my heart, as a great police dog and a great
