Understanding what ADHD is.

ADHD is divided into three different categories, inattentive, hyperactive-impulsive, or a combination of the two. The symptoms will determine which type of adult or child ADHD the person has. As such, the behavioural effects are different in girls than they are boys, as boys seem to be more hyperactive and girls can be quietly inattentive.
Predominantly inattentive ADHD
People with this type of ADHD may experience more symptoms of inattention than those who suffer from hyperactivity and impulsivity. Issues with impulsivity and hyperactivity might arise from time to time, but they are not the main characteristics of inattentive ADHD.
People who suffer from inattentive behaviour experience:
Are quickly bored.
Tend to be easily distracted and can’t focus on details.
Experience difficult when focusing on a single task.
Have difficulties learning new information and organising thoughts.
Loses essential items needed to complete tasks, pencils, papers, etc.
Doesn’t seem to be paying attention.
Always appear to be daydreaming.
Unable to process and retain information as easily as others.
Difficulties with the following direction.
When diagnosing ADHD it is noted the girls generally are more likely to have this form of ADHD than boys.
