If one would go around and ask the constituents of College of Dupage about their biggest issue on campus some would complain about the cafeteria food chains, the educational policies but the one complaint you would hear the most would be parking. Every year there are about 28,000 students who enroll, meaning they all attend by either riding the bus or driving. Majority of them drive, considering the fact that they are also new drivers who enjoy their newfound freedom. Since that is the case most students can't find parking, therefore they look to other options such as taking the bus, carpooling, or even scheduling classes later on in the day. Most would say the best solution would be to build a bigger parking lot or parking garage, which is…

More Canadians than ever seem to prefer flying out of U. S. airports to reach their destinations. This is largely due to the cost efficiency of catching a flight from a facility such as SeaTac Airport instead of a Canadian airport. If you are driving to SeaTac to catch a flight, you probably wish to find a parking facility with affordable rates, and you’ll certainly want to be sure that your car is left in a safe place. Like countless fellow Canadians, you may well appreciate the low prices, convenience, and other benefits of leaving your vehicle at an off-site SeaTac Airport parking lot, such as Aeroparking’s Park & Fly lot. Quick Access to SeaTac Airport One of the top benefits of long-term parking with Aeroparking is the quick trip…

In Jay Walljasper’s article “Back to Work,” he asserts that parks needed to be built or refurbished despite the high expense because the park projects will help the economy to be prosperous. Walljasper supports his thesis about parks with facts and studies that contrast past public works projects with present park systems and states that the park can be seen as the fundamental facility which will develop local communities and the economy. His purpose is to persuade the audience that in order to get people back to work and to build up America’s economy, a job works program is needed. Walljasper delivers this message in an assertive tone to Americans who may care or who may not be aware of the necessity of parks because he believes those facilities…

The 40th Street Parklet was one of the first parklets created in Oakland. It was founded in 2012 as part of a pilot program to test the waters and see how the public would react before installing similar fixtures across the city. The outpouring of public support was phenomenal and the 40th street parklet passed the test with flying colors, gaining more than 400 likes on its Facebook page and receiving donations upwards of $10,000 dollars towards its construction. Occupying a stretch of land that was once known for it’s desolate and empty storefronts, the parklet now receives a lot of foot traffic from bikers and pedestrians thanks to several relatively new businesses in the area, including Manifesto Bicyles, Subrosa Coffee shop, and Homeroom,…

Free parking? It sounds like an idea too good to be true, and that’s because quite possibly, it is. At least that’s what Donald Shoup argues in “Yes, Parking Reform is Possible”. A public policy which allows an extensive amount of parking in a crowded city at little to no cost, regardless of budgets or consequences, will have serious negative effects to a community. Shoup predicts that we can achieve major social, economic, and environmental advantages at virtually no expense merely by subsidizing people and places, rather than parking.…

I believe their was adequate ADA parking, however we needed more ADA decals verifying that placards and registration was checked. In addition toll booths did miss verifying some patrons placards & registration and the patron didn't receive a decal. Numerous times working in Lot 7 & 8 campgrounds I noticed the patrons didn't have the decal and asked them if anyone verified their information and they stated no and explained why it needed to be verified and the patrons were more than happy to let me verify their information and had to go grab decals to give to the patron. I recommend for toll booths that there should be separate ADA only lanes that specialize in verifying the patrons…

Apartments and houses seem to have similar living styles in which many people enjoy but upon investigation, they are different in so many ways. People living in apartments experience a whole different type of environment than houses do because there are more issues to be solved such as parking.
