With support from her loving Aunt, Adeline Yen Mah got good grades and went to Oxford University, wow, I'm inspired. In the novel Chinese Cinderella by Adeline Yen Mah, I found it to be an inspirational story. It is an inspirational story because she is very intelligent.
Adeline Yen Mah is very educated in school. She was the top of her class in all subjects, except art. These qualities make her very intelligent. “Adeline Jen-Ling Yen from Hong Kong has won the International Literary Playwriting Competition with her play Gone With The Locusts, she is the first Chinese person to win this competition, she has brought great honor to this country.”(Yen Mah 191). Adeline had won the playwriting competition, brought great honor to her country, and pleased her father. “I was walking home with a medal dangling from my left breast pocket.” (Pg. 1). Adeline had lead her class in every subject but art, so she got a medal. To sum up the conclusion, Adeline has shown many reasons why she is so smart, like winning a medal for leading her class.

“Aunt Baba took out her safe deposit box with all of her treasured items and put my certificate in the safe.” (Pg. 2). Aunt Baba treasured Adelines certificate by putting it in a safe deposit box. “I cried for days after the death of PLT and everyday, Aunt Baba would try to comfort me by taking out her safe deposit box and looking at all of my certificates and medals that I had won.” (Pg. 152). Adeline was sad that PLT died, so Aunt Baba comforted her by looking at all of the awards Adeline had won. As the result of the conclusion, Adelines aunt comforted Adeline with all of Adelines
