Especially that this is a growing trend in school, it’s important to see that there will be different cultures which means different perspectives from your students. To address the diversity first off I want to help all the students in our classroom be open on who they are, where they are from, and the different backgrounds they may have. When the other students are aware of different backgrounds and cultures in the classroom then I can help them understand the importance of diversity in the classroom. Some obstacles that I may face are things like discrimination in the classroom. I know each student comes from a different background, and I may not know what their parents or other family members may think of other nationalities in the classroom, which is something I can’t control outside of the classroom. Which for me is an obstacle that I will have to face because then I will have to try to not offend that student, by saying what his or her family thinks is wrong, but convincer every day that in the classroom this student can be his/her friend. For example if one of my students grew up in a family who thought badly of African Americans, then she will have the same though when she comes to school. It will be hard to change that thought because all her life that’s what she has been experiencing. I can overcome those obstacles possibly by introducing the different cultures and mixing them together, not directly with the student, because I don’t want to offend his/her and their family, but in a group activity or project that we would do in the
