Many great works have creative themes that are incapable of being repeated, and some works have strong themes that can be related to the thoughts of other authors. George W. Bush was the president that was in office during the nine-eleven attacks, and he was needed to speak shortly after it happened. Obi Chidubem is a little known poet that has an idea about a world with no separation, no hate, and only love. Bush had the huge responsibility of providing a message of unity to America after something so traumatic shook the roots of the nation. The country had been under attack by terrorists, and the president needed to show that it could make the citizens come together, instead of breaking the nation apart. “Today, our nation saw evil -- the very worst of human nature -- and we responded with the best of America. With the daring of our rescue workers, with the caring for strangers and neighbors who came to give blood and help in any way they could”(Bush). Evil is no match for unity. Strangers coming together after experiencing this kind of physical and emotional damage is hard, but it is worth the fight. The pain and struggle are small challenges compared to the strong nation that comes from it. “This is a day when all Americans from every walk of life unite in our resolve for justice and peace. America has stood down enemies before, and we will do so this time”(Bush). This is strong proof that if a group of people, no matter what size, come together in unity, they can endure anything.
