Fortunato shows Montresor that he is easily bullied because of his actions. First, based on Fortunato's actions we can see that him being rich upsets Montresor. Due to the fact that Montresor was talking sternly to Fortunato about how rich he is. We can see that Fortunato is still happy with his life even though Montresor attacks him constantly.
