This paper will focus on creating an ADC implementation plan, including methods used to obtain approval and procure proposal support; a background on CLABSIs; and the rationale and utilization of ADCs as a preventative measure with supporting literary evidence. This can be done through the online learning module system (LMS), a situation, background, assessment, and recommendation (SBAR) email and handout, notifications in the weekly ‘Need to Know’ emails, in-services, handouts, and posters that will be placed throughout the nursing care units and inside patient rooms (Marschall et al., 2014).
