To reflect on the work placement in ADIB, it is really a beneficial opportunity in which I increased my knowledge in different areas such as the business area as well as selling area as they tried their best to let me understand their company process, as this branch doesn’t have IT department they asked me to do other work to gain knowledge of their daily work. Additionally, I felt that I’m used to the work at the customer service as I can understand customer needs and requests as I learnt from the first two weeks wherein I was at that time new as I didn’t know anything about the work process such as forms, the requirements and products. What is more, team work was the most useful skill I’ve apply it on the work since I was cooperative without

During the first half of the semester for ENC 1102, I believe that my writing skills have improved from ENC 1101; some of which are getting to page length, correctly citing a source, and incorporating how a quote is related to my argument. I still have some errors within my writing that I have not quite figured out how to tackle. Some concepts that I have not gotten down to a tee must be coming up with a thesis statement, basic grammar errors, introducing quotations, and repetition. I have also learned how to distinguish the difference between a personal essay and an argumentative essay with first hand on the two types and how why my grade differed from essay one and two.…

Back stateside I began reading and training with my local SCORE group in owning a business. Opened a small clothing retail store, where OTJ brought a new meaning. During the first year, I learned everything from how to write, follow and completely understand a business plan to sales forecasting, purchasing,…

Background: Women who are incarcerated while pregnant, receive no birthing education while in most prisons in the United States. In many states, incarcerated women in labor are transported to the nearest birthing center and are shackled to the labor bed with one armed guard inside the room and another outside the door. They often labor alone because they are not allowed to have a support person. The nurse on duty, is the only form of support they depend upon. Unfortunately, evidence indicates that many of the nurses have a punitive attitude toward the incarcerated patient, resulting in inadequate care.…

Upon reflection of the EDF5141 Health unit. I believe it has assisted me in gaining some skills which will result in helping me reach my goals as a teacher. These goals I have for myself align with two Australian Professional Teaching Standards (APST) by the AITSL. These include ‘knowing the content and how to teach it’ and ‘plan for and implement effective teaching and learning’. ‘Knowing the content and how to teach it’ is a standard from the Professional Knowledge section and talks about the knowledge you have for the subject and understanding how it should be taught which suits the learning style of the students whilst aligning with the Australian government's requirements.…

The Laws of the Magna Carta very much affected the people of 1215 whether that be the barons or the monarch himself, and the same can be said in today’s society, that the law affects everyone. Henceforth, my chosen area of which I would like to study is law. In a world of change, I believe that is important for laws to be changed and for new laws to be introduced so that they reflect the concerns and ideas of the current civilisation.
