Decent Essays
One specific idea I gained during the semester is how to write essay logically. When writing ad analysis essay I read and followed the instructions provided by the professor. I learned to write the essay in an order so that the reader can easily follow the purpose of my writing. Therefore, I did well in the first draft of ad analysis essay. Some corrections and revision on the first draft of ad analysis essay made the third draft fantastic. I spent a long time to gather the ideas and sources for the RBAA essay. To be honest, I collected so many sources and supporting ideas for the argument which I failed to put in order. Consequently, my thesis statement was unclear that reader could not understand. However, I revised the first draft of RBAA

Throughout my time in English 101, my writing has undergone drastic improvements. The first writing assignment I chose to revise was Project 1, the Advertisement Analysis. My first draft of Project 1 had no clear thesis and no specific claim, ideally, an easy problem to solve. However, this was a common issue in my writing in most of my projects this semester, so it only made sense to tackle this project and revise it first. To begin revising Project 1, I first established my thesis statement which was that: the “Best Buds” advertisement was effective because of the incorporated rhetorical strategies and the overall theme of loyalty.…

My writing process coming into junior year was quite flawed and would go moderately like this: I would try and start with some hook that at least sounded like it related to the topic I was assigned. I then added a thesis that did not sound like total trash that included exactly what I planned to discuss. As I wrote the rest of my essays, I would sometimes realize there was something I felt added to the argument’s appeal, and after adding it to the body paragraphs, I summed it up in a couple words and squeezed it into my thesis. That was about the maximum amount of revising I would do for my essays. My decently crafted essays contained simple diction with a few SAT words I remembered while writing thrown in awkwardly.…

I’ve chosen to focus on “Exploration and Argumentation” as the subject of this reflective introduction, specifically looking at my argument paper, “Abortion: Right or Wrong?” as a reference to the importance of this learning outcome. I chose to focus on this particular learning outcome because it was the most difficult essay for me to create. While writing this essay it was difficult for me to understand and reciprocate the opposing viewpoint. Understanding an unfamiliar idea and giving ideas for or against a topic is key to creating a fluent argumentative essay.…

For example, an advertiser can take the celebrity approach and have a celebrity appearance in the commercial. This shows the audience that if the company is able to have someone famous represent them, they must be legitimate. Also, it allows people to think they can have the perfect life, just like their favorite role model.…
